The International Flat Earth Society just calls themselves the Flat Earth Society now, but we gave them and their history a pretty fair shake in our episode.
They trace their history back to Rowbotham and acknowledge Samuel Shenton as their actual founder in 1956.

We talked about a couple of conferences of flat earthers, and while we didn't go to one ourselves, I found a pretty good article from a guy who went to a gathering outside Denver, CO and I guess it's up to you whether you'd consider it enlightening or not.
