Don DeCristofaro, the man you know as the Captain, is a ghost hunter by night but sadly by day is a supply chain professional in the energy industry.
The Captain is a proud Navy veteran like his father and brother before him and those roots run deep, which is why he gives so much time and effort to the United States Naval Shipbuilding Museum and USS Salem.
These historic landmarks aren’t only in Don’s hometown, but are located at the shipyard where he worked upon returning from serving our country. To the captain, giving back is a gift of its own.
Don became interested in all things strange when as a youngster he stumbled across a 1963 book by Hanz Holzer simply called Ghost Hunter and became fascinated by the infamous Borley Rectory.
That interest never abated. After reading John Keel’s Mothman Prophesies he began to investigate those locations for himself and with the group he founded over ten years ago those investigations continue to this day.
Don realized years ago through his many travels and adventures just how much of the world can be fascinating when looked at through your own lens.
So while the Captain still likes a good haunted house as much as the next guy, he also wonders how one of the most famous people on earth could fly off into the sunset almost 90 years ago and disappear forever.
The Captain wonders how authorship of the best known plays ever written could be in question over 400 years after they were first performed?
Not long ago the Captain was fortunate enough to find a kindred spirit, so with these questions and many more in mind, Don and his co-host Sondra Morgan began Observations From the Road Less Traveled… a podcast about those mysteries and so much more.
Observations From the Road Less Traveled is light and dark. It’s mockery and appreciation. It’s thought provoking and laugh out loud funny.
Just like life.
